I’m ecstatic about the airing of LOST season 4 finally on Star World, here in India. Considering the fact that season 5 is already available on the internet for download and viewing! After months of wondering – “Has the rescue arrived for the survivors of Oceanic Flight 815?”, “Is it really a rescue?”, “Why did Locke kill Naomi?”, “Why did Jack loose his way in the future?”....finally these will be answered. They fates of the doomed survivors of a plane crash on an South Pacific island will be revealed.
What can I say; these LOST writers keep coming up with better and better stories to keep us hooked. I don’t know whether they have already sketched out the entire plot for all the forthcoming seasons or they keep making them up. Each episode is so intricately woven with flash-backs or flash-forwards that our brain keeps working long after we have switched of the tv set. This season they have introduced flash-forwards of our favourite characters. And all that we could figure out is that only 6 people get rescued and rest are still on the Island. Worst, Jack is no longer the level headed guy, but a drunken doctor much like his deceased father. Kate has been cleared of her earlier felonies on the pretext that she saved the lives of 5 passengers on the plane (We all know what was the real story), Sayeed is now a hitman for Ben! And Hurley is back in the mental institution where he is visited by Charlie’s ghost. While still on the island, the survivors are split into 2 groups those who want to get rescued and those who don’t. Desmond’s love Penny seems to appear only on last episodes of every season, so we are waiting for an explanation for that. Let’s wait and see what they have to offer.
My love affairs with the characters continue. I want to stay loyal to Jack, but keep getting attracted towards Sawyer again! Not fair for Kate to have both the men. And though I like Desmond too, he purely belongs to Penny.
Currently aired on Thursday and Friday, 10:00 PM IST on Star World. I wouldn’t recommend watching it now as LOST is best followed from season 1, but if u do catch hold of the DVDs, do watch this amazing drama/thriller serious.
